What is a tin whisker?

Well, to a material science nerd like our own Dave Fazzina, it refers to the spontaneous growth of tiny, filiform hairs from a stressed metallic surface.

But to us, and many of our friends and colleagues, it has come to be known as the after-hours/weekend musings about topics of interest in the world of innovation.  It is a fitting moniker considering that when we’re thinking about such things, we’re usually in need of a shave.

We hope you enjoy our observations, which are intended to propel the cause of innovation by dispelling many of the troublesome myths and misdirection propagated by talking heads who are far from the day-to-day innovation cycle.  Our thoughts tend to focus on the day-to-day, not the academic approach to innovation.  And we expect this blog will track accordingly.
